We have added a new feature recently and you can now connect your projects to stash.

I am still considering adding fabrics as separate entities to the database, after some shopping at tissus.net :) - but I really feel that it is different from the knitting world.

For most fabrics in my stash I really don't have a clue re their designer or brand... what about you?

When I started entering my stash I thought that it is not necessary to enter a designers or brands, but than I came across my printed cotton and there it might be nice to be able to enter a design name and the designer (made now a note in the "notes" field). There are some important designers especially for patchwork/quilting fabrics like Robert Kaufmann, Amy Butler, Kaffe Fasset and so on.... Maybe there could be optional fields for design and designer when adding fabric to your stash.

And maybe there could be a field to enter the shop where you bought the fabric.

Yes, that's the same thing about my stash - for most fabrics I have no idea, but some of them I can recognize.

We'll discuss with the IT guys what would be the best way to do this, as it then makes sense to add one fabric just once, and then let other users stash it as well. However, I am not sure that the way we made adding magazines and books is a convenient one, so we'll try it in some new way I guess. :)

Re shop - agree, and I guess we could then make shops a separate entry with reviews, and such.

I actually have a question about fabric designers. Is it the same as brand, or are there cases when for the same fabric there's brand AND designer? I am inclined to have just one entry for Brand/Designer for a given fabric, but would that suffice? :)

Thanks for your opinion!

I am not sure as I have not much experience with fabrics that have a known designer, but I think one entry should be enough :-)

hi everyone!
I'm new here and just exploring the stash feature :) somehow I cannot upload any pictures. I saved the stashed fabric but if I click "files" and try to add some jpegs it doesn't appear to do anything...
anyone else having this problem?
thank you!

Hi, it's the first time I hear of this. Could you please PM me with more details, like what OS you are using, which browser? We'll make some tests then. Thanks!

Hello everyone, files uploading is fixed!

We are also making the form a bit simpler, with less mandatory fields.
