Dear Sewists,

We are more than thrilled to invite everyone to join our new website Sewist. We are very excited to share with you some of the features that will be available to the new Sewist community, a site for storing, sharing, learning, and selling.

This project was born in a family of enthusiastic sewist and professional programmer. Our mission is to create a sewing site that promises to be a useful tool for all those who enjoy sewing and creating with fabric.

Here’s what we can share so far. You can add information about the patterns, books and magazines you own directly into our database. Plus, other sewing pattern companies can sell their patterns on Sewist. Even our members can sell patterns that they design. Becoming a member is absolutely free and will be monitored by the community.

Some of the new features that we plan to offer are:

• a place to share projects and send and receive comments and messages
• a database for storing information on patterns, and pictures of fabric that you can categorize and easily search for
• there will be chat forums, tutorials, and feature articles related to sewing and crafting
• a place to sell, trade, or give away patterns, fabric, and sewing related products

We’re looking forward to having fabric artists all over the world to join Sewist and help to start a productive, friendly, and resourceful site for sewists everywhere!
