Notes I made this from felt using a tiny pottery plant pot as the base. The size of this informed the scale of the tree. The tree itself is stuck into the pot and the base is weighted using ten 2p coins. The pincushion is decorated with glass headed pins. The star at the top is made from two star buttons stuck together around a long flower pin. Couldn't post this before giving it away. I should explain that Florence is a member of one of the textile groups I go to. This one is called Pinfold and we meet once a month. At the last meeting we were each asked to bring a card and a present. We were then given a raffle ticket which allotted each of us a card and a present. Florence also received my card. I gained a fabric covered box from Minnie and a beaded card from Rosemary. We had been instructed to have trees as part of our hand made theme for this Christmas present swap.
