At the moment we have several sources - book, magazine, booklet (a single printed pattern) and website.

What else do you think should be added? Pattern kit maybe?

That one you can publish right away - just choose Designed by me in the Sources tab :)

Is this also for improved things you don't want to publish? Like the cowl you sewed without a pattern?

Ah no, that would be rather about posting a project without listing a pattern. That's on the list as well, we have an internal ticket for it I guess, but I'll add to the Sewist tickets here as well.

We have added the option of saving a project without a link to the pattern.
Kind reminder that it is against copyright rules to upload photos of pattern envelopes etc to projects.

Pattern description has been increased (used to be 1000 symbols).

I'm really confused by the source field. What am I supposed to choose for a Big 4 pattern that I bought at a store? Or is this site more for indie only patterns? Thanks!

Hi, for the moment I would suggest to input the website in the source field. This will link the pattern to the brand, and you can then search the patterns accordingly.

We are waiting to hear from the Big 4 patterns who are now considering our request to include their patterns with visuals into our library, in this case we shall create pages for all these brands.

We have created accounts for

so you just need to mention them as the authors of patterns, that would do the trick :)

If any further designers are needed, please let us know!
