Notes 18th September: Cinnamon 23 has received her apron and her little needle cushion, so I can now add the details.I found the pattern for this in a rather interesting Japanese book I purchased from a book stall at the Northern Quilt Show in Harrogate. A photo of the book is shown here, just in case anyone needs to know what it looks like. There are some wonderful little projects in the book ranging from these little needle cushions to fabric boxes, bags, and wall hangings. The ISBN for the book is:ISBN4-89396-943-9In case you are wondering, I do not speak Japanese, or read it. The detailed illustrations are superb in this book and make it easy to reproduce the projects without needing to read the instuctions.Note: The metal catches were found when collecting all the packaging after my husband had bought new shirts. They were used as the part that holds the little needle cushion onto the top of a spool of thread. The pattern calls for paper clips, but I found that the ones I had were too wide. Luckily, I am rather a hoarder.........
