Notes 16th September: The blouse has been cut out and I now need to get this started ready for the next concert.Well, I had better get on with this one since the next concert is tomorrow evening. Luckily, I do have some buttons which should be just right for this project. The fabric has been in my stash since the early 1980s. It is a jacquard woven silk which I bought from a now long-closed factory shop in Macclesfield. Does anyone still remember Brocklehurst Whiston? Or Barracks?18th September: Well, I did manage to get this blouse completed in time for the concert. I will need to get the side seams adjusted, though. The sides are too far away from my body! I'll just take them in so that the blouse looks slightly more fitted. Sadly, for choir, I need the blouse to be worn loose rather than tucked into a waistband. Luckily it was quite a warm blouse, worn with a vest I managed to stay relatively warm in a rather chilly Methodist chapel.
