Notes 8th December: Started this since my young neightbour needed a pair of dungarees for a Christmas production  about World War Two, at school. Mum was frantic since she could find nothing suitable. So I offered...........Last night spent first making a muslin to fit Eleanor. This was good fun. She joined in and sewed her first seam using my serger. Both mum and daughter delighted when we ended up with a design that looked the part. They then went home and left me to get on with it.This morning all I was left with were the hems for the legs and the elastication for the back of the waist. (Yes, I know that is not really accurate, but it makes things easy for Eleanor since she has a quick change to complete during the show.)Right, must get on. These need to be handed over before I go out this evening, and before Eleanor goes to bed.9th December: The dungarees were ironed and then hand over to Eleanor as planned. Mum and daughter delighted.
The photos show the completed dungarees - no time for in progress shots. (I completed most of the work by 1am!) The second photo shows the muslin I made. Then there are photos of the back and front. I placed an old t-shirt inside to show more detail. The last picture is of the pocket linings before these got sewn into place. Why pockets? Well, as we were working on drawing out the muslin, Eleanor quietly asked, "Do they have pockets?" I didn't say anything at the time, but I really couldn't let her down............
