Notes | 6th January: Got started with this yesterday. The bag outer is constructed using pieces from my selvedge collection. These have been stitched together using a fagotting stitch on my sewing machine. They have been stitched onto a base of cheesecloth (a loose woven muslin/cotton). The lining is a fabric from the stash, and the rest is also stash fabric left over from other projects. I have made the pocket section rather larger than the original design since I want it to be held in place by the feet of my sewing machine. The section under the feet will be a double layer of heavy duty vilene - the pelmet weight. Just need to put everything together and get the pockets sewn into place this morning. I already have a number of pincushions so really did not want yet another.Completed. I have added a couple of cat buttons. Couldn't resist.......... The pattern is a free one and can be found here:Weighted Pincushion Organizer by Elizabeth Hartman of "Oh Fransson!"Published by Sew Mama Sew (http://sewmamasew.com) |
