Notes 11th February: Started this yesterday for Margaret. Just enjoying myself messing around with fabric scraps for the moment. Sorry, but photos and a full explanation will have to wait until this has been received.17th February: After a bit of a setback I have restarted this project and am working on it steadily. It will take a while to complete, but hopefully I shall finish it by the deadline.25th February: Finished this afternoon. I do hope that Margaret likes this.An explanation:This bag was made using small scraps of fabric ironed onto a layer of bondaweb which had previously been ironed onto cheesecloth. Details of how this was done is here, if you would like to try this for yourself:http://crazydaisytime.blogspot.com/2011/02/making-fabric-using-scraps-short.htmlAfter the fabric was "made", I then used FME (free machine embroidery) to stitch over all the pieces:http://crazydaisytime.blogspot.com/2011/02/making-fabric-completion.htmlThe completed bag has a base which was quilted before assembly. There is a small, zipped, inner pocket and a large outer pocket running around the circumference of the bag - this outer pocket has been split into two pockets to ensure it remains rigid.
