Based on Vogue 1027 (OOP) I replaced the skirt with a four gore quarter circle maxi and finished the neckline and sleeve hems with knit binding rather than using the pattern instructions.
This is one of my favourite knit patterns, the bodice is extremely flattering, it is quick and easy to sew and works well in a variety of knit fabrics, although I recommend soft drapey fabrics to get the most out of it.
The fabric I used for this version is a beautiful jersey from Tessuti Fabrics called "Jaywalk" in the black/bone colourway. |
