| Notes | I love this pattern, it is so flattering. Minimizes the breasts and hides the tummy ! Sorry about the creases, I had to wear the dress even though it wasn't totally finfished. This is the first dress I made with this pattern, using a lovely double-sided Japanese fabric. I wanted to show both sides so I made some modifications to the original pattern. First I lowered the neckline because it was very high and that is not flattering on big busts. Then I made a central slit and added the contrasting color band. I cut also added the contrasting color inside the pockets and hemmed on the outside (having done French seams on the bottom so that the seams were nice to look at). I also modified the sleeves as they were a little tight. The only problem was the zip breaking on me even before the dress was finished but at least you can see both sides of the fabric on this picture.  |
