| Annotazioni | I changed the skirt from the straight skirt to an a-line skirt. Used those bra inserts as the top part looks much better with them. Obviously this style bodice is only for the moderately endowed figure, not for meagre bosoms Having problems lining up the midriff seams in preparation for inserting zip. Any suggestions? Note: I slip-stitched the basting on the outside so I could make sure the seams matched up. Zip is in. Most of the rest is hand stitching for the lining and hems. Ooh! the zip has been a problem with this dress. Pucker, pucker twist and ruck. Might just have to unpick it (again) and sew by hand. Apart from that, when I try it on, it sits nicely. It may turn out to be better than I think, once I get the zip right. 3 times! I've ripped out the zipper seam and tried to get it right. I will wait for my invisible zipper foot to arrive and hope that using that will help. Finally finished. You say this was a UFO for a while. 7/12/16 |
