Notizen There were some printing issues. The test square, when printed, had no lines or writing inside it. It was just an empty square. Some of the tile page numbers didn't show on the printout as they were obscured by the pattern piece on that page, so if the pages got out of order it would be quite tricky to find the right order again.

The centre front piece skirt piece has a seam allowance as well as an indication to cut on the fold in the same place. After comparing the centre front skirt piece to the front facing/waistband piece, I decided the seam allowance was an error and trimmed that off.

I am testing this in brown woven suiting of some sort, with a nice drape but unfortunately very resistant to pressing - for a wearable garment I would want something that could press crisply along all those lovey curvy seams, and yet still drape well to take full advantage of the pattern design.

I was able to cut the pieces in my size from a 145cm length of 150cm fabric.

Assembly of the pieces went smoothly, starting at the top little wedge-shaped piece sewn to the front, and attaching the curved panels from there downwards, then adding the back panels, then waistband and facing. All the notches matched perfectly. My only issue was with the centre back zip - there are many seams to match, and a lot of potential for error. I'm an experienced sewer but I loath inserting zips. This one looks fine when the skirt is flat, but not when it's on a curvy body. I don't think that is a fault in the pattern but the many seams leading from the zip area are possibly putting strain on it in ways that require careful sewing and a certain level of expertise to do well.

In my size, the skirt fits well and drapes very nicely. It feels very swishy and feminine to wear.

My photo session was thwarted by frequent gusts of wind - the skirt does hang very well, but it was blowing around!

    Sewist an 20.10.2017

    Dear Jenny,

Thanks for the review! The texts should be printed okay if from Adobe Reader, but maybe there's something else we should look into, I shall talk to the team.

I fixed the seam allowance along center front, indeed that was due to the algorithm. I also changed the mark for zipper and made it triangular so that it differs from other notches on the pattern.

This is a very lovely skirt and a very nice shade of brown, I hope you enjoy wearing it!

    Kind regards,

    Natalia
