2nd June: This quilt was started some time in 2006. It is rather overdue being completed which is why I have posted it here to shame myself into finally getting it finished.Currently, it needs to be taken from the original wadding - nasty stuff. It is all I could find at that time, but I have much nicer wadding ready to use now. Then I need to rearrange the blocks to make the points meet. After that it will be the usual basting and then quilting by machine. Not sure when I shall fit this in, but at least I know what to do with it. I saved some fabric for the binding when I originally made this and it has been kept with the quilt. The original design wa printed in the Quilter, the journal of the Quilter's Guild of the British Isles, at some time around 2005. I must see if I can find the magazines, they are safely stored somewhere.........The first two photos show the front and a detail of the front. The third shows the back of the quilt. This was the first time I had made a pieced back for a quilt.4th June. Removed all the safety pins holding the three layers together. The wadding has been removed. I shall use it for one of the bags I am also renovating. Getting the points to line up may have to wait a little until I get some time after working on Rosie's quilt.
