| Notes | I have plans to use the hearts and flowers design for this set of cushions. It is for a bench we have just erected in the garden. I can see it getting a lot of use this coming summer. The seat stands at the end of our small garden just where it gets the evening sun.28th April: The two foam blocks needed as the main cushion base have been ordered. I should be able to collect these on Saturday. I need to get the quilting done on the serger quilt so that the sewing machine is free. I already have two 16 inch square cushion inners ready to use for the scatter cushions.2nd May: Ian got the vinyl out of the loft for me. It was left over from boat bench cushions made years ago for a narrow boat we used to own. Still in excellent cushion, this is perfect for cushions for our new seat. Luckily, I have some leather needles for my sewing machine and some polyester thread in just the right colour. Also velcro for the fastenings.5th May: Got the second of the two cushions completed this afternoon. Took some photos before the rain started. Both cushions have velcro fastenings and straps across the back to fasten them in place on the wooden bench slats. Now to make a couple of scatter cushions. |
