This is based on Lekala ruffle dress pattern 4414. I shortened it at the waist for the pattern (by around 1.5") and then took another 1" probably when I fitted it. The dress itself seems to have an empire line join to the bodice (I haven’t made the full pattern yet).

I had to improvise on buttons as I had no black ones. These are white wooden ones that I coloured in black using permanent marker/sharpie. Hopefully it will not run when I wash this for the first timeas I didn’t think to test!

I made it a lot tighter than the original I think – I wanted it really tight for the look I was going for.
