Sewist Launches Men’s Patterns

For years, Sewist users have been asking for men’s patterns. Until now, our focus has been on women’s wear, but the demand for menswear has steadily grown. Recently, several men contacted us after Sewist was mentioned on social media. We are still not sure where that mention appeared, but it was encouraging to see that our platform is being recommended. These requests made it clear that the time had come to deliver on a long-standing promise.

We are now opening our men’s section, starting with the classic suit jacket. Drafted according to traditional tailoring rules, it features the details expected from a structured garment: precise shaping, professional seam construction, and the foundation of formal menswear. This is not a simplified model but a faithful base for a tailored wardrobe.

Alongside the patterns, we are also introducing a full men’s sizing system. Instead of made-to-measure, the first stage includes both ISO standard sizes and an extended range of ready-to-wear sizes, going up to a 160 cm chest circumference. This ensures that a wide range of body types is covered from the start.

The rollout will take place over the course of this week. We will begin with the suit jacket, and then expand into trousers, shirts, and more casual wear. All patterns will follow the same principles: professional drafting standards, consistent fit, and seamless integration into the Sewist platform. Stay tuned!
