| Notities | I'm a novice / complete beginner, and this is my second real attempt at a wearable sewing project. It's also my first-time use of my beginner sewing machine! Arm holes and neckline are a little too wide for me. I picked a bright coloured cotton which was easy to iron and sew, but I should have selected something with better drape or added darts. Since it is cropped length, it has a boxy appearance due to the fabric stiffness. I could not follow the instructions for sewing the zipper or facing, but managed to get it done following Youtube tutorials. I did not use fusible interfacing, nor serge the edges, due to lack of equipment/materials. In all, it is wearable, but would have been greatly improved if I had selected a material with better drape and/or added darts. |
